And so it begins again. The cutting, the piecing, the frustration, the hum, the whirr and the satisfaction.
Another quilt. This time using a different technique. (I will keep you posted on how it goes!)
These colours. I love.
I often sit down with my new material, cut out the pieces and then worry. Worry that I have somehow got this colour combination totally and utterly wrong.
This time though. I am in love. Something about these colours and patterns works in my head.
I am excited folks! Let the quilting commence. Again......

Good luck with it,Abi....the colours look lovely.
So far, it looks pretty good!! I remember my quilting days in the 80's fondly!
I really love the colours Abi and it is always a bit daunting when you start a brand new project. Keep us posted,

My favorite part of making a quilt is the initial cutting process! Yours looks lovely so far, and I can't wait to see the finished project. Have fun!
I'm having a leisurely post Easter catch up this afternoon and I'm delighted to see you quilting again. The colours are indeed beautiful!
These look youthful and classic at the same time! Can't wait to see the finished product.

This looks like a perfect colour combination. Do you buy fabric online or in local shops? We have no fabric shops where I live any more :-(
Exciting to be in at the start! It's going to be lovely to see it unfold. My own dearesr daughter has been handstitching a quilt sporadically for about three years, but I am sure yours is not going to take as long as this!
Loving this...my project for the summer is going to be to learn to use a sewing machine!! The starry fabric is so pretty :D Can't wait to see it when it's all done xx
Good luck! I made several baby quilts for friends back in the day when we were all starting our families, but I never made one for myself. I started one for Sarah, but eventually gave all the squares to someone who quilted regularly. I love quilts!
Good luck with it.
