I have made another Layout.
I know. The age of miracles has not yet passed!
Again, I did it in an afternoon and really enjoyed the process. I had challenged myself to not look at any other layouts whilst I was making it. I can get inspiration before hand but whilst in the process of crafting I wanted the layout to be totally "me".
The layout documents the lovely mailboxes we saw all over Virginia- something we just don't have in the uk!
I used sprayed paint to create a soft effect and tried to mirror the postal elements with twine, an airmail envelope and lots of handwriting. I also created a border with my sewing machine. It ended up looking a bit like a large stamp (totally coincidental!)
Nothing hugely special, but I really like how this layout turned out.
Thanks for stopping by

What a fab photo! And a lovely layout to show it off.
Love the way you've added the envelope.
I just love anything with an airmail envelope on it!
I love the ribbon on the V and the stitching :) Funny the things that we see as common in our home country that are so different to others. You have given me an idea, my dear! Thanks so much for leading me to Jenny and Tyler!!!! Psalm 46 will be playing this Sunday :) ...and thank you for the prayers, they are cherished.
Isn't it cool, how they set up the "legs" for mailboxes, then fix a sort of shelf onto two of them, so they will hold a whole row of mailboxes? I love how people in USA can personalise their mailbox - house number, family name, picture of a rainbow, handprints... Maybe there are some rules about it, so the mailman can still work out which box is for whose mail, but I do think it's fun...
Love the photo and love what you did with it - the layout is fun and lovely! It does look a bit like a huge postage stamp, but that makes it even more fun!
Great post, Abi. :-)
